Corrections Fees and Payments

Corrections fees are supervision fees assessed by Probation. They are not related to any court fines that may have been assessed by the Court, but are in addition to those fines, and are payable to ARC (Arrowhead Regional Corrections). 

How To Pay Your Corrections Fees

Corrections Fee for Probation in the ARC Region:

$300 Misdemeanor ($30 minimum monthly payment)

$400 Gross Misdemeanor ($40 minimum monthly payment)

$500 Felony ($50 minimum monthly payment)

Corrections Fee for Supervised Release and ISR:

$300 per Case ($30 minimum monthly payment)

Corrections Fee for Cases Transferring into the ARC Region:

$200 per Misdemeanor ($20 minimum monthly payment)

$300 per Gross Misdemeanor ($30 minimum monthly payment)

$400 per Felony ($40 minimum monthly payment)

$200 if less than 1 year left ($20 minimum monthly payment)

Corrections Fee FAQs

  • Corrections Fees are set at fixed rates and are NOT reduced based on the number of months a client is on supervision, or if any early discharge should occur (e.g. satisfactory discharge, execution of sentence, etc.).

  • You will be assessed and are responsible to pay an additional offense level corrections fee for each offense per sentencing date.

    If a court file has multiple offenses of different levels on the same sentencing date, the fee will be based on the highest conviction level. You will be assessed one fee per sentencing date in addition to any fee(s) that may already be assessed.

  • Corrections fees may be paid in full, or if monthly payments are preferred, you are to pay at least the minimum monthly payment listed for each fee assessed on a regular basis.

    $300.00 Misdemeanor ($30 minimum monthly payment)

    $400.00 Gross Misdemeanor ($40 minimum monthly payment)

    $500.00 Felony ($50 minimum monthly payment)

    Payments are to begin within 30 days of the Sentencing / Assessed Date. 

  • A reduced corrections fee of $300.00 will be assessed on cases transferring outside of the ARC Region if the transfer is initiated within the first 90 days after sentencing. If a transfer is initiated after that time, the standard correction fee amount will apply. Corrections fees may be paid in full, or if monthly payments are preferred, you are to pay at least the minimum monthly payment listed on a regular basis.

    $300.00 Per Case/Sentencing Date ($30 minimum monthly payment)

  • Yes, payments will be accepted from anyone paying on your corrections fees, but it must be made clear who the payment is for in order for the payment to be credited to the correct account.

    For identification purposes, please make sure your full name, case number and client number (if known) are on all payments.

  • Failure to make minimum monthly payments regularly, as well as failure to pay corrections fees in full prior to discharge from probation, will result in the balance being turned over to the MN Department of Revenue for Recapture and/or a Collections Agency. 

    Furthermore, failure to pay corrections fees could also result in additional Court Review.

  • A program through the MN Department of Revenue in which unpaid/overdue balances are submitted. Those balances would then be captured from any state refunds due to you (e.g. income tax refunds, property tax refunds, renter’s rebates, etc.). The captured amount is then forwarded to the ARC Fee Office, and credited toward your account.
